Yesterday I was using a rake on the 3pt, when I lifted it to the full up position the hydraulics started to hiss. You know the sound when the bucket gets hung up or exceeds it's capacity. The 3pt arms are stuck in the up position but the tractor seem like it's still trying to lift them higher. Thus, the hydraulic overload situation. As a result, the engine is being stressed. If the accelerator is depressed all the way, the engine bogs down and stalls. I'm assuming this is due to the stresses on the engine being caused by the hydraulics overload condition. The machine is brand new with 9hrs on it. Does anyone have an ideas? Thanks.Vincent Ronga

If it's only got 9 hours on it, get on the phone to your dealer immediately! ....

Thanks Russ, it is on it's way back as we speak. Just so happened they were picking it up to install my backhoe.

I just wanted some unbiased input from what I feel is a very knowledgably community here.

Thanks.

Moot point since the deals coming out but it sounds like the valve is stuck in the open position so it's still send fluid into the cylinder even though it's already extended as far as it's going to go. Shouldn't happen and doesn't sound like a do it yourselfer job. Only other though is checking your flow control valve to make sure it's not in the full closed position. That would restrict any flow and freeze up the lift arms too. ....

Thanks gerard,

The dealer tells me it's a linkage problem. However, the arm (not the lift arm, the control arm) on the 3pt gearbox moves when you move the 3pt lift lever. How can this be the linkage. Your explaination sounds more like it. My only fear is it's something that might return later if not addressed properly.

Thanks again.
